Jerry Parsons Remembered
The following entry by Jerry Parsons was written in the Log Book keep at the E. J. Croft Yurt on December 19, 1985. Jerry Passed away this Christmas. He will be remembered as an authentic Gunflint Trail character. His son Forrest at the time of this visit to the yurt was about seven or eight. Forrest has now taken over from his dad at Hungry Jack Lodge"Temp -72 F. Forrest and I got up early this morning & stopped by
for a firepot breakfast. We came in your yurt to hot wax up our skis &
headed north. Gotta make Hudson's Bay by New Years Day. Ha Ha! Happy New Years from our Hut to Years" Jerry Persons and Forrest-Hungry Jack Lodge
