Thanksgiving on the Gunflint

Thanksgiving, 2005- this morning the temperature dipped below zero, minus ten, for the first time this winter. Blustery-windy day with seven inches of snow on the ground. With the exception of the largest lake, the lakes are now ice covered. Poplar Lake froze-over on November 21.
